1. Thiel took about an extra 12 months to get the pie plate speaker released. That had to hurt. All those new driver ideas mean development money. It's all custom for a niche manufacturer; no economies of scale on those drivers. They do not offer as good value as other companies now, imo. Most weirdly, they are distributed by Crutchfield. How is that even supposed to come close to working for a high end brand? It looks like a desperation move to me. So I bet they're struggling.

2. The other post filled in some info about the British boxes. I guess you didn't read it. Have you looked at the currency exchanges over the past few years? Do you know what even the small boxes from these companies cost? As with Thiel, the value equation will only make sense for those seeking a narrow set of qualities, except to an even greater degree.

3. I notice you didn't bother to defend Tyler, which I doubt is even a true, ongoing concern.
