Beginner audio books.

My son has developed an interest in audio. I do have Good Sound by Laura Dearborn written in 1987 anf Robert Harley's Guide to Home Audio, second edition. I was curious if i should get a book that is more current than these or are they still relevant for basic aduio education? I have a question about receivers too, but i will post that seperately. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
