Gang,

I have shown at CES for 15 years only taking last year 2007 off. This was my first year at the Venetian and for all it was it went really well.

I think we have found over the years that hotels don't make a very good venue. It's not the room or the way it's setup but merly getting around. I remember in NY at the Stereophile show we had too many on the evelator and it droped 6 feet and got stuck :)))

This was no different... why not put all the Tower suites on sequential floors? It was easy to go by steps from 29-30. But not easy to get to 34 and 35. It was not also easy to get to the floor area of the Venetian, but let's face it we all need a little excersise.

The room's at the tower were better than I expected. The furniture was a little hard to work with and I am still waiting for some kinda bill from the Venetian.

The Venetian is a little too pretty for high end. I say this thinking of the large crates that drape the halls ways on setup day and tear down day.

I did not not get over to The Show but I was dining with Neil Sinclair and he said a car bomb could go off over there and not injure anyone. I realize CES sold out early and was not accomodating. Yell louder... I did and they got me a room. Look the idea of saving money and going to The Show is silly. You are there too make money and with a little help you can pull off the Venetian pretty easily. Just party up with some friends and split the bill in the end you will do better for it.

I thought CES sucked for not allowing more companies into the Towers. I also thought the staff sucked because they really don't understand high end and what is needed to pull off a show.

I thought GES was outstanding this year. I lost 4 boxes and they said they would send someone up to help out. I litterally hung up the phone and there was a knock at the door. We had the boxes in the room in less than an hour.

Incidental costs at the Venetian are par for the hotel and again I think a little too elogant for what we needed.
