I'm considering buying an amplifier for $1.5k which is a fair price (no great deal) for the age of the unit. However, this particular model doesn't appear on the used market all that often. It is about 3,000 miles away and he seller says the serial number can't be read as it has faded out or something. My concerns are:
1. if sometime down the road I want to re-sell the amp, the missing S# may scare off potential buyers.
2. a repair shop may refuse to work on the amp without the S#.Does anyone have any insight or advice on this matter?
TIA, much appreciated.
