Re: Definition of terms...

Howdy

Yep, but I was pointing out that my path also included a time where I thought CD sucked bad and also at that time every CD system I had access to did cause me pain (most of them also set off tinnitus in my right ear, so I'm a little confident that it wasn't just my imagination :)

Also my ex-wife has a reverse hearing loss, she hears high freqs much better than most young people, but doesn't do so well with low freqs. She could never stand CDs in the house so I had them at work. Now that my system is better she really can enjoy them (tho it's a little late since we're divorced.)

More than one person after listening to SACD in my office went home and broke out their old vinyl setups, having realized that the sound of CDs had annoyed them enough that they had stopped listening to music.

So I have a little sympathy with Teresa's point of view and understand where she is coming from, tho I firmly believe that with better equipment she would see that CDs aren't "evil".

I'm glad SACDs coaxed me along to better systems and now I can enjoy CDs (and all music) much more than I used to.
