There are high-end expensive pieces that I like a lot but I have to remind myself of that Mark Levinson 383 integrated I once owned. Fortunately I bought it used and sold it several months later for the same price. I hated that dry lifeless analytical sound. I swear they hide ML 383's in elevators to pipe in the elevator music! My $600 (used) Denon integrated sounds so much better than the ML!In fact, I packed up my entire "high-end" setup as I'm moving to another home. The only thing I have for music right now is my Denon PMA-2000IVR integrated and Denon DVD-5900 universal player. No, it doesn't sound as nice as my Cary or Pass Labs gear but still, it is VERY enjoyable!
The $1200 (LIST) Denon PMA-2000IVR integrated sounds better to me than the $6000 (LIST) Mark Levinson 383 integrated.
