Re: Possible to get a good center image with a big tv in the middle?

I was in the same quandry a few months ago with a 42" set. A neighbor is building a new house and had a piece of 3/4" plywood almost exactly the same size as the whole front of the set. I was fearful that my center image and image overall would be affected. To my suprise it made little or no change. I even blanketed it over once it was in position, retested, and this also did little or nothing. My speaker fronts were only about 4" in front of the TV front and about 8 inches away on each side of the TV. All the equipment on that wall is in front of eight foot high X twenty foot wide very thick drapes already though. So it passed the TV test.......but I still haven't bought a rack to accomodate the TV and all my gear.....and then there is relocating coax and all the other video related crap too.....I doubt I ever will do this now....
