I don't know about Agon, but at the Asylum, most posts that disappear tend to be either spam or personal attacks and are done so in response to Comments from the users. Once in a blue moon, we might consider removing a post that bashes a vendor without any substantiation from a hit and run, unregistered user. This is very rare. Posts that promote equipment by a dealer or a sockpuppet for the manufacturer might get removed as these are in conflict with our posting rules. Commercial interests are not a factor in our decision process.
