As always. :-)The "cancellation of a big order" problem is one that hadn't occurred to me and is pretty poignant. Sounds like the old "good news/bad news" joke. The good news is, if you close the sale, you get a nice piece of change in your pocket. The bad news, if you don't you've just upped the amount of inventory you have to finance by 25%.
And people complain about dealer margins in this biz . . .
Seems to me, its in the manufacturer's interest to do everything it can to find a home for that "cancelled order" product because it's pretty shortsighted to bankrupt one of your dealers out of business.
Tough racket, this audio sales stuff.
