I already decided several years ago that I would sell my Linn Kremlin tuner. A great tuner but I have moved to a truly impossible reception location in San Francisco, and anyway most of my favorite FM stations have disappeared. I just never got around to it and I'll make it a New Year's resolution to put it on the market in 2006.This will be the very first time I've put up something for sale. I would appreciate any advice, but for starters I'm wondering about whether there are particular periods during the year when audiophile buyers are more actively shopping. Surely there must be market peaks and valleys during the year just as there are for homes, autos, or anything else. If I put it up on eBay, I just want to be sure that I do it when there might be more potential buyers watching, or does it really matter?
You may have guessed that I am not active in online private-party buying and selling. For those of you who actively watch eBay and Audiogon, do you see seasonal patterns of activity? Any advice you would care to give?
