What was the lie you ask? (now there's a rhetorical device for you ;-) )
At the JREF Forum, Kramer (Challenge Facilitator) writes

If so, I must have missed it.He starts this missive with a blatant misrepresentation of an offer that I had made to avoid having my own observer present. (some of the JREF folks were suggesting that my own observer could send signals in the form of bird calls to clue me into which device was to be used in any given iteration).
He then states that he hasn't heard from me since last week when in reality he had responded to one of my emails the previous day which was a Monday.
He lies again by saying I promised him a new protocol within hours in my communication the previous week; I hadn't. We were still trying to figure out how to do a test without implementing a dummy chip, at his request.
He alludes to "a most curious and deafening silence" which was at best a figment of his own imagination, and at worst, an attempt to paint me as "woo-woo", a favorite JREF pastime it appears.
The last bit about Piano Teacher was presumably thrown in to muddy the waters further as I had no vested interest in the Piano Teacher matter which was a sideshow to the proceedings.
This episode simply represents one exchange in my negotiations with them. I could go on. I believe this particular instance was an overt attempt to end my challenge claim because I was on record as saying I would table negotiations until a later date if I didn't see them begin to exhibit good faith. The long and the short of things is, this guy who's supposed role is to facilitate the Randi Challenge, actually is actively involved in derailing the process through deceitfulness.
It's completely obvious that their purpose is defamation, not honest to goodness debunkery. Given their methods, they have absolutely NO credibility left as debunkers of anything. Sad, but patently true.
