Chris-While it seems to be too late......I am a fan of the Shure E3c. They are MUCH more comfortable than the Etys. They list for $175 but are available all day on eBay (new) for $125 + shipping.
Easier to replace the ear pieces, too. I use them with my iPod on planes. Great base and a perfect seal.
