Declaw it.Oh, that's right, the political correct world has brainwashed everyone into thinking this is the worst thing anyone could ever do to anything. Just like we can't throw rice at weddings because idiot activists said birds die from eating it (which is a blatant untruth) now we are told we are HORRIBLE people if we declaw a cat.
However, these same people all insist on neutering. You HAVE to do that. So the question that BEGS to be asked is, why does a cat get traumatized for life losing it's toe nails but it's balls, hey, he'll never miss em.....
We're I given the choice to lose one or the other...... but hey, that's just me.
I have owned TONS of cats in my life, EVERY one declawed, and never once did any experience any kind of trauma or problem. You simply use crushed newspapers instead of litter for a week or so until they heal, and then they're good to go. They can (and do) keep scratching and doing their "nubbies" on anything in site like they still have em, (so apparently they don't realize they are gone). They are happy, you are happy and NO damage gets done.
IMHO, it is the LEAST thing they can do for living the life of Riley they get to lead in our homes. The "myths" about making them stop, or providing alternates will not work. One day they will walk by, the speaker will look good, (even if it doesn't smell good) and it's all over but the crying.
You do as you will. I will keep mine civilized.
It's all about the music...
