I think the Linn is easy to use, sounds wonderful and is much better than most entry level separates.
75 watts into 4 ohms.
55 watts into 8 ohms.It isn't the last word in bass, but English gear (or kit) is not known for that. Look at the all-in-one box from Sony. They can be had for around $500 if you want more tricks and treats.
For pure audio, the Linn eclipses most in this range. Have not herad Arcam. One thing to note.....both Linn and Arcam use those silly British BFA speaker jacks. Pain in the arse.
