I would consider a "great product" in power conditioners to be one that doesn't destroy the sound of my system...which Monster Power conditioners most DEFINITELY do. We are talking about a NIGHT AND DAY difference in back to back listening. Noise floor is lowered, sure, but so are all the good sounds, like the ringing harmonics on a guitar string, or the subtleties of a cymbal crashing. It also has a tendency to make the music sound like all the musicians are playing in separate rooms and not listening to eachother. The soul of the music is robbed.Monster Power's Surge Suppressors are indeed "great products". They take away the bad that they claim to take away, without taking away any good that we are all looking for in an audio system.
If you dont believe me, plug your system back into the wall and listen for a bit. Your Monster Power unit is dulling down and deadening the music. You can refuse to believe it, but I refuse to believe that a signature series Monster Power conditioner is robbing the harmonics and ambiant information from my system, but is letting that info through on every other system on the planet.
