Wouldn't be surprised if Fender is just stamping their name on it.....

Fender acoustics have never made a name for themselves. I have three guitars. A 1963 Fender Stratocaster (bought in 1983), a 1998 Martin D-40 and a 1978 Yamaha FG-335 acoustic that was given to me on my 16th b-day.

The Yamaha (bought on 48th St. for $150) still sounds great today. In fact, the local Gutar Center still sells them for about the same $$ today.

I think Fender has just gone steadily dowm hill. Look at Yamahas, Taylors, Takamines or used Martins. Forget about the silly starter kit. All that crap can be bought for cheap cheap anyway.

Lokk at eBay, too. That's where I bought my Martin.
