Hi Robin,
Shunyata contacted me and advised me to use a fan to break it in. They had me start with the outlet furthest away from the IEC and run each outlet for 24 hrs.
I did this for each plug (6 days) and then listened.
It is better than when brand new now. Very Very quiet. It's one of those cases where you didn't realize you had noise until it's gone.
I still need to try it with the amp..I'll let you know.
