....as norm said you will get many different opinions on this subject.i recently sold my first generation hydra about 2 months ago when i realized that going directly to my dedicated line through jena cryo'd outlets was more dynamic then when using the hydra.that being said i recently auditioned a powerwing,developed by alan kafton at audioexcellenceaz.com and it is,in my system,in a word,superb.what it does for the source side of my system,an scd-1,in my case,is amazing.the music is so much more involving now with a a 3-dimensionality to it that has never been there before.just my thoughts.
