Fully understandable that someone buying a Chevy would be "wowed" by a Bose system in their car. Scary thought that someone buying an Audi or other luxury car would consider it an "upgrade". Granted, the systems sound okay for factory. Nothing special, but don't make any major errors. Most manufacturers design some "boom" in the bottom end for appearances. Most people are audio stupid and this proves the case beyond a shadow of a doubt.Still, when I looked at an Audi a couple of years ago with the Bose system, I asked the salesman if they could pull it. His eyes got something like Marty Feldman and his mouth dropped open. "Why would you want to do that?!!!!" I explained that while I admired Amar Bose as a capitalist, he makes his money on the ignorance of others, and I'm not one of them. I am religously opposed to contributing to his coffers. To make it short, he had bought Bose speakers because they were on the Audis he was selling. When I referred to Amar as "PT Bose", he got a bit...ah...what's the word...upset? But not angry, more of a "sickened" look.
