Let's do this scientifically then: you have to establish the existence of a phenomenon before you can explain it. What survey or poll have you conducted that supports your theory that "most present-day audiophiles hate science?" What does "most" mean: 51%? 75%? 90%? What does "hate" mean and what is the threshold between hating and not hating? Does an audiophile who merely dislikes science but doesn't despise it count as one of the "haters"? How about audiophiles who are skeptical that audio engineering can explain every aspect of reproduced sound but don't hate science - do those people count as haters?
