Home General Asylum

General audio topics that don't fit into specific categories.

And the 80's, 90's and present.

The tests I cited go to the present.

More to the point, as I said, and you ignored, the tests from the 1920's have been repeated and repeated UNTIL PRESENT, and nobody has come up with any meaningful changes to the basic data (lots of refinements, of course, which are to be expected, but the basic data has shown to be stunningly solid) on things like loudness and masking.

So, you're wrong. You are supposing 'facts' that are wrong. Sorry. That's all there is to it.

BTW, if Fletcher's work was bad, it would show up in a second in modern tests, and it doesn't. Over and over again, it doesn't show up. Once in a while somebody says it does, and they have, to date, with examination, been shown to be either extending something (always fair game) or mistaken (it happens).

So, nice idea, no cigar.
