VPC for mac does work. I use it with my early version imac (266Mhz G3) and G3 powerbook (400Mhz). It is quite reliable once you have 256M of RAM or more. Compatible with most softwares (those i've tried, anyway). It's not a speed demon though - I can't watch quicktime/window media files at an acceptable frame rate. It is too CPU intensive. If your software does not require real time computation and if you're a patient person, VPC can fill that gap for mac users.Come to think of it, it might be a better idea to install 98 (or whatever is needed for the softwares) on your laptop. I bet it would be faster than VPC on imac.
