AC Polarity---THANK YOU !!!

Special thanks to Bob Crump and Ubiquitous Skittercat for their help and guidance in measuring and hearing proper AC Polarity. The application was on my Sony SCD-1 SACD player. Per my VOM there was only a couple tenths of a volt difference between the two orientations. The lowest reading was not the factory orientation--so I switched the leads inside the Power Cord. Huge difference but here is where the fun begins. The factory orientation sounded great--clean, detailed maybe a little thin but nice. You then kind of balance your tweaks around that as a baseline. When I flipped the power cord 180 degrees the sound blossomed with body, warmth and soundstaging like I've never heard before---but was it too much the other way. I wasn't sure that I liked it as much as what I was used to. That was until I rebalanced the system tweaks for the added information and warmth--ala rearranging isolation bearings -cones-etc. CLEARLY--CLEARLY-- this is a substantial no cost sonic improvement. Just to make sure that I wasn't fooling myself--I went back to the original setup--and I couldn't believe that I was ever happy with that sound. Thank You Guys!!!
