I think a major contributor to fatigue is too much loudness, particularly with music that's been compressed (rock and popular). The ear wasn't meant to be exposed to high or even medium decibels on a continuous basis. In nature, there are no sounds that are loud for long time periods; only man-made sounds (traffic, etc) are like this.Next time you experience fatigue, try turning down the volume. Or try listening at night, when there's no background noise, with the volume set to where the music is just barely audible.
