I see TacT can make miracles in this area.
But the reality is that accurate tonality is not the only thing that music reproduction requires.
As mathematicians say it is necessary but not sufficient condition.
The other component I'm talking about is commonly refered as PRAT (pace/rythm/acceleration/timing if I'm not mistaken?).
As John Marks has pointed out some associate DSPs (which TacT is a variety of) with 'sucking out life of music' which to me would be a major drawback if it's true.
The system may sound totally accurate but would still fail to excite.
That's where you feel a lack of life.Just put some CD with some good live jazz concert and you realize that trombones even though tonally accurate sound like farts in a bottle rather than live trombones.
Can you comment on how does TacT affects this area?
