Some hard facts

Here is the mention by Gordon to which Jim Austin was referring, from
the reprint at http://www.stereophile.com/asweseeit/110/: "John
Atkinson felt that he heard a difference between when an LP was
'polarized' correctly and incorrectly in a demonstration run by
the English magazine Hi-Fi Answers at the show."

Gordon also says that "Jimmy also demonstrated to our own Alvin Gold
much of the effects claimed (see 'Pure Gold,' Vol.10 No.6)." I will
look up what Alvin wrote for that August 1986 issue of Stereophile
and report back.

But my point is that Randi's assertion, that Stereophile, Art Dudley
and I promote and recommend the Belt devices, is a lie. And I would
like some of the apologists for Randi on this forum to tell me why
that doesn't bother them.

John Atkinson
Editor, Stereophile
