Randi's a magician don't forget, a master of deception yet this is the guy who's allowed to make the rules and who ensures that any test is carried out on his terms.
Where audio is concerned it is always easier to detect changes in a system that the listener is familiar with, and if Randi really was serious about disproving the effect of tweaks/treatments he believed were bogus why wouldn't he be prepared to give those making what he considered preposterous claims the chance to substantiate such claims?
If a treatment/tweak really is bogus it wouldn't matter where the test was done would it, and Randi is well capable of assessing whether a situation or venue is rigged as that's his area of expertise.
