Re: Green pen.......

when the idea first came to the surface, i picked ry cooders 'jazz' because of the strings and great bass. i listened repeatedly before greening the disc with a magic marker and then again after.
i was skeptical but what i heard was extended highs, deeper and more defined lows, better overall clarity, AND it seemed to play a few db louder at the same gain setting.
then i had two identical harry james sheffield CDs. i greened one and left the other alone other than to play it. similar results with more impact from the band and more clarity. i sent them home with a friend who agreed but used his wife as a guinea pig and she independently came to the same conclusions.
a worthwhile improvement, but bottom line......... not worth the effort to green all my cds. they just ought to come that way.
truth be told, id rather listen to vinyl, and usually do. id rather put the effort into record washing.
.......regards......tr
