RE: Where did/do you learn about audio, sound and acoustics?

When i was around 5, my mom played auto harp and my grandfather (who lived next door) played french horn.
I was unimpressed until i heard what i thought was his french horn coming out of a box on the floor at his house. He was playing a recording of a french horn.

I was floored how it could do that???. This was a heath-kit mono hifi system he had built. At around 9 i used to help Grampa clean up after Church service. I was able to sneak up into the organ pipe loft as the organist came back to practice.
I didn't know if i should run or what it was so loud and the loudest bass i had ever heard, i wasn't even sure what it was....... and the hook was firmly set

The rest is history as documented fairly accurately by some guy on line.
