General audio topics that don't fit into specific categories.

Primarily from three mentors

The first was an audio dealer in Atlanta who I later worked for part time while in college. He introduced me to a wide range of classical music and stressed the need to listen to gear rather than relying upon simplistic specs. Hearing tri-amplified Magnepan Tympani IIIs using Audio Research gear in 1974 was a pivotal recalibration of how realistic an audio system could sound. He later sold Dayton-Wright and Acoustat electrostatics which is where I started that journey.

It was through that shop I met a doctor who was on the board of the Atlanta Symphony, member of the ASO Chorus and audio reviewer. Who in turn introduced me to his friend and editor of the magazine.

I cannot begin to tell you what an education I received and exposure to a completely new world of gear spending time with them. It took years to fully grasp what they taught me as a teen.
The latter two became lifelong friends who continued my exposure to phenomenally incredible systems over the years.
