Different recordings might sound different on different systems.

Some recordings will sound fantastic on some systems while sounding only mediocre on others, I think. Narrow dispersion speaker systems might "like" certain types of recordings, wide dispersion speaker systems might like certain other types of recordings, etc...

Then add in amplification and source component diffs and you might see where this is leading. Finding the most "realistic sounding" recordings can therefore become something of a crapshoot.

Just listen - it's what's best.
