Demo Records

So I'm listening to some old albums last night & put on Thelma Houston & Pressure Cooker "I've Got The Music in Me". Reminded me that it was that album that impressed me so much when I heard it over some Magnepans in a local shop. So much so that I bought the floor models. Needless to say, it took a while for me to get the right amp/pre to go with the Mags. I was young & naively thought they would sound the same at home as they did in the showroom. Not. Well heck, who woulda thought they might sound different driven by a Sansui rec. than the Mac amp the store had? First steps in a long & interesting journey. Thinking maybe this would start an interesting thread about what albums/cds that impressed you in such a manner. Dave
