if I understand the term correctly. I enjoy classical music, and have a decent collection of the standard orchestral and piano rep. But I cannot tell one competent professional performance from another--the recorded sound, maybe. Classical is actually over-represented in my collection (maybe 40%) compared to how much I play it (maybe 5%). Whereas I can dissect very fine points of jazz, blues and some early rock-and-roll.
