I enjoy classical music and was exposed to it from a young age simply because my father would play it around the house.I heard Rachmaninoff, Lalo, Beethoven, Handel, and a lot of Stravinsky.
Even though rock, pop, and jazz are my main things, I still have a deep emotional connection to orchestral music.
Interesting comment about "settling" for the Bose.
My mother's significant other was telling me gleefully that he bought a large multi box classical set from iTunes....mp3 is good enough for even those with means. He would not know the difference between an mp3, an ALAC, or WAV if it hit him square on the head.
