People who are into gourmet food cannot be attacked by the unwashed masses who claim that "it's all about food, man, not about your fancy spices". Spices ARE food, so the fabricated clash between the two is just a symptom of intellectually bankrupt feeble minds.
OK, back to the discussion: why do some people claim that poorly recorded, poorly produced records (Chesky, anyone?) offer stellar sonic experiences? That's not my impression (and others have chimed in here to concur). And as for my system not being good enough to reveal the splendour of Chesky's recordings, how come it is good enough to reveal the splendour of some other high quality recordings?
