perhaps its a taste thing, i cant stand it when i hear pictures at an exhibition (pictures of an exhibitionist) at too slow a tempo or if it is rushed through.
some of the lincoln mayorga and distinguished colleagues are a bit droll but parts are good such as their version of limehouse blues which i like.
when recordings are made just for demonstration, many times the performances are rote. its one of the bugaboos of DTD recording when they have to re-perform the titles for another master.
