Looked around and can find nothing about the J MOD on the internet so I am not sure how similar they were. I do not believe our local FMI dealer ever had them on display and I do not remember, other than the obvious 80, what comprised them.
As I think about it more the bass may have been handled by two per side 15 inch woofers in large boxes. The drivers would have been of excellent quality, no RADIO SHACK stuff. I would doubt if they were PEERLESS.
He may have used ARC amps, but I cannot remember. A tube amp was used for the midrange certainly. Probably something he came up with, a modified DYNA, maybe a MARANTZ? I was hoping someone else who heard it might be able to add to this.
I have never heard of the BRAVURA. I am near posituve that was not in the equation.
I believe you lived in Atlanta (maybe still do), did you ever meet Ramon or Mr. Fuselier?
