If it ain't broke don't broke it.... an alternative view. ;-)

Aside from rebiasing a tube amp a couple times a year, audio systems don't really need "maintenance". You're more likely to break something that didn't need any maintenance to begin with.

1) Tighten speaker driver screws.

This is a good way of possibly poking an unnecessary hole in one of your speaker drivers. The screws normally don't come loose every year.

2) Make sure the speakers are securely seated to the floor so there is no wobble of any kind.

Yeah, my speakers tend to bounce and wobble all over the listening room. Gotta keep a close eye on those hyper active wobblers and put 'em in time-out when they get uppity.

3) Clean and tighten the speaker cable connections.

Yup, my hyper excitable wobblers tend to mess themselves and require frequent cleaning.

4) Clean all used connections on electronics.

I hate used connections. Just buy brand new every year and never worry about used connections again.

5) Redress my cables to make sure they are kept separate from AC cables.

I cross dress my cables which totally confuses the AC cables. I sometimes accessorise with a pretty pink cable tie.
