I mean the stuff that the likes of John Marks Records, Sheffield Labs, Mapleshade, Chesky Records. the deduct and ressurected MFSL???I have no idea what equipment they use, but I wouldn't be afraid to say that it probably isn't your run of the mill studio gear. I may be wrong. Someone please correct me if my speculations are off base
I understand that you can't do better that the recording, but if most of the recording/mastering facilities started using equipment/techniques like some of these companies we wouldn't have up put up with mediocre sounding CDs and LPs
Maybe we need to look at this from a different perspective???
