Several of you hit the nail right on the head. There are so many more homes for our entertainment dollar today then there was 15 - 20 years ago. I this this has resulted in a great dilution of concentration on any one hobby. I remember back in the early 80's when I got started in this crazy lovable hobby when someone gave me a beat up pair of AR-3's, there wasnt a whole lot of other things that really took my interest. Fishing, my car and that sort of thing. Today its endless. Also, reasonably good sound is financially available for most. Outstanding, great sound is very expensive. I do think audio will endure though in a limited way indefinitely. JMHO
