Re: Audio resolution is the ability to retain as much of the original performance as possible with current equipment.

This mostly agrees with my own estimation, except I'm not familiar with the sound of HDCD. There is also the music-simulating noise of MP3 that languishes at the bottom of these rankings. I might put a good early generation 7 1/2 ips 2 track tape up around LP.
