A new analog medium

"A new laser based analog medium will sound like LP, possibly even better than LP, I'm hoping as good as 2 Track 15ips Reel to Reel. But it will in no way sound like digital, as it will be kept analog from start to finish."

It will NOT sound like vinyl or tape. For starters it will not have groove noise, hiss, or rumble, etc. It will have lower harmonic distortion because transducer conversion will be more accurate. It will have higher dynamic range and muchg less noise than vinyl. Yes, it will not have much jitter either, but all things considered on a DBT basis ANYONE will be able to tell it apart from vinyl or even tape (by the hiss) whereas I predict it will be hard to differentiate from hi-rez digital.

That doesn't mean that analog zealots will not run aout and cry extasis and say how much better than digital this new technology is...except they willbe unable to recognize it blind.
