I have not had the chance to listen to a d-t-d compared to the actual master tape, however I do have Sheffield Labs issues of both d-t-d and their releases pressed with master tapes.With the Sheffields there is a considerable difference. The d-t-d is clearly better. More resolution, faster transients, better dynamics and of course no tape hiss!
