It was more the fact that at times the sound seems to be broken, or sort of jagged. At some points in a song, they cymbals sound whole. You hear the hit and then the decay as one continuous sound, other times, in the same song even, the sound is hit, break, decay, break, decay, break and so on.So today I learned that it’s very difficult to get cymbals to sound good. Combine that with how hard it is to get good bass and I think I should just give up now and buy another bike. What have I gotten myself into? That is what I keep asking myself.
