jj is a signal processing guy. He's known for his work in perceptual coding. Later he worked on multichannel audio and I think he's the father of DTS's 11-channel codec.

Based on his internet posting history, I can't see any evidence that he knows or cares anything about high quality stereo. He was and is into multichannel, lots-o-speakers. I don't know if he ever said these exact words, but I got the impression he thinks the whole high end stereo hobby is a waste of time.

He wasn't a constructive poster here, or on other forums as far as I could tell. He would jump on his favorite posters and spend his time getting into petty cat fights. The only knowledge I ever remember him sharing was a bit or two of theory on human auditory processing. He wasn't here to share knowledge, he was here for the Great Debate (tm) and he acted quite childish while he engaged in it.
