I Use Business Card Paper to Clean AC Sockets

I make sure the paper is no thicker than a plug so as not to expand the integrity of the socket tension. The paper is cut to size in strips and I give them a squirt of cleaner before inserting. Then follow up with a dry piece.

Paper has a grain direction so best the long cut is along the grain for stiffness to prevent folding over.

There are also chamois type flat cleaning supplies available from electronic supply stores if preferred.
