RE: Your guess (your words) is wrong

"I will copy and paste the comment from that link.....

It felt like I could smell the floor polish inside Severance Hall...."

Which is not an answer to the question, The actual question was, for the third time..."have you ever actually mistaken playback for being in a concert hall. That means you actually thought for a moment you were hearing real live music in a concert hall but in fact you were listening to home audio playback?"

"It felt like I could smell the floor polish inside Severance Hall...." Does not answer the question. It's a yes or no question. I will illustrate why your answer is a non answer.

Your answer could mean "YES! I was utterly fooled into thinking I was at an actual concert hall listening to live music when it was merely audio playback! It felt like I could smell the floor polish inside Severance Hall...."

Or your answer could mean "It felt like I could smell the floor polish inside Severance Hall.... but no, I was never actually fooled into thinking I was at a concert hall listening to live music. I was always aware of the fact that I was listening to a stereo."

"If I were blindfolded, I may have mistaken for being at Severance Hall......

If you think that's not an appropriate answer, that's your problem....."

It's not an answer. And frankly your inability or unwillingness to answer a simple question is your problem. Again the actual question was "have you ever actually mistaken playback for being in a concert hall. That means you actually thought for a moment you were hearing real live music in a concert hall but in fact you were listening to home audio playback?" The question was NOT "Have you had any experiences with audio playback where *IF* you had been blind folded you could have *possibly* mistaken the sound for that of live music at a concert hall?"

So why don't you want to answer the actual question that was asked? You have been dodging it like a politician at a debate.

"And again, why do you find this to be overly problematic?"

Again why do *you* find it overly problematic?

"(I think your latest response was expressly to dodge that question.)"

You are wrong. That was not the purpose of my last response.

Now let's get back to my really juicy question. The one you completely ignored the first time

What would it take to convince you that the differences you percieve in high end interconnects, power cords, magic clocks etc are the result of bias effects and not actual differences in the actual sound?

And if you actually do answer *that* question (not some alternate version you make up in order to dodge that actual question) and feel like asking me the counter question, what would it take to convince me I am wrong about cables, power cords, magic clocks etc etc etc I would be happy to answer it. But I want your answer first.

I'm pretty confident you will dodge it a second time. Why make such an effort to not answer questions Todd? And if you want me to answer yours you have to come to grips with the concept that conversations go two ways.
