RE: No, I answered it

Check the second part of my response where I delved into the mechanisms of bias effects and aural memory. We don't have that issue in video or photography because, as was pointed out, we can make side by side comparisons.

That conclusion doesn't follow for video.

If you're comparing two displays side by side playing the same video, you look at one screen for a while, then move to the other screen for a while, and back and forth with momentary interruptions in between. If you compare two video sources, you would use one display and switch inputs. Either way, you're never watching more than one item under comparison at the same time, so you're relying on short term visual memory to make the comparison. Further, the video is constantly changing as you go back and forth. In order to compare the same moment of video on both screens, you have to stop and replay it, first on one screen, and again on the other.

That's no different at all from how you make audio comparisons.

Comparing static images is markedly easier than comparing video or audio streams. An audio equivalent might be to listen to a single tone, maybe compare two subwoofers playing a 30 Hz tone and hear which one has more distortion.

And here is a counter question. Why don't we have 10K power cords, 50K video cables, Magic clocks etc etc in professional film/video world? There is no shortage of money. I am around quite literally millions of dollars of camera and sound gear on any given film set. You should see how they pipe the power in. It ain't what you see at an audio show!

You don't see those things in the professional audio world either.
