"Well designed tests"

What works in the pharma industry won't necessarily work in the Audio world. You say properly designed tests and protocols are required. Well, who is the judge of what those properly designed tests and protocols should be? Do you think all skeptics and test designers agree with each other? There are considerable differences of opinion on this subject. A lot depends, for example, on whose ox is being gored as to how thorough and thoughtful the test protocols/procedures are. The Amazing Randi offered 1,000,000 if anyone could pass his DBTs, for example. For audio, unlike wine tasting,, quite a few things can and do go wrong with tests.
