bias effects can be very surprising

while they often line up with cost and visual appeal they don't always. They can be very random. But they are unavoidable. It's how we are wired to use our senses.

With that said, I definitely am avoiding non shielded or badly shielded cables. Some things DO make incontravertable differences. I guess that is part of what I paid for. I could have spent less.
